Renowned scholars from the United States have been invited to deliver three new courses, namely “The Jaguar and the Sun: Latin American History and Culture”, “Cultural Diversity and Leadership Styles” and “Medicine and Culture” this summer, respectively enabling students to have a better understanding of the historical roots of Latin American artistic expressions, how differences in culture can impact leadership styles as well as the different ethnic approaches to medical treatment.
Our Summer School offers a wide variety of language courses for students who would like to sharpen their language proficiency. Those who would like to enhance their proficiency in English or Putonghua may consider enrolling in the courses “Enhancing English Proficiency Skills” or “Enhancing Putonghua Proficiency Skills”. In view of the growing interest in studying Chinese Language among non-Chinese speaking students, the course “Chinese Language as a Second Language I” is specially designed for them. Other elementary language courses in French, Japanese, Spanish and Russian are offered as well. Apart from this, courses which were well received in past years such as accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, politics, service-learning, sociology, statistics and translation will continue to be offered.
