Ms. WONG, Hau-ting, Hazal

Hazal has been working in the higher education sector for more than 8 years. Prior to joining CEAL at Lingnan, Hazal worked at a few universities in Hong Kong, teaching courses of English for Academic Studies (EAS), IELTS and presentation skills for both undergraduates and postgraduates. Hazal’s research interests mainly lie in sociolinguistics, with a focus on language and identity.
 
Hazal devotes her efforts to helping the public enhance their English competence. She was a column writer of the Education section in a local newspaper Singtao Daily, and was an instructor of a 96-hour IELTS course under the HKSAR's Continuing Education Fund (CEF). She has also served as a guest speaker to deliver talks related to IELTS, presentation skills and academic English skills in various institutes.
 
At CEAL, Hazal teaches University English II and IELTS Preparation Elective Course.
