Symposium Series

Lingnan Prism Symposium Series

This series consists of symposiums co-hosted by the home institutions of the invited Prism guest editor(s) and AIGCS, and listed as XXXX-Lingnan Symposium. So far four collaborative symposiums have been held or scheduled:  

• The inaugural symposium “Chinese Literature across the Borderlands”, organized by David Der-wei Wang, Kyle Shernuk, and Miya Qiong Xie was held via Zoom on November 13, 2020.
• The second symposium “Between Mobility and Place-making: The Worlds of Southeast Asia in Modern Chinese Literature”, convened by Chan Cheow Thia and Carlos Rojas, was held via Zoom on 28 January, 2021, 29 January 2021, 4 February 2021, and 5 February 2021.
• The third symposium “Chinese Learning Goes West: The Reception and Development of Traditional Chinese Thought in Modern Europe, North America, and Beyond”, held on May 28^th, 2021, was co-organized by Stephen Roddy (San Francisco University) and Zong-qi Cai.
• The fourth symposium “A Stanford-Lingnan Symposium: Eco-writing in an Age of (Un)Natural Crisis” will be held on February 25-26, 2022, co-organized by Wang Ban and Gong Haomin.
