At-Home Yoga 

Objectives :

At the end of the workshop, students will be able to:         

1. Describe the safety guidelines of doing yoga;
2. Practice Asana with the correct breathing method to balance the mind and body; and
3. Establish regular exercise habit.

Description:

When practicing yoga, a high concentration is required to get the students to put aside the annoying trifles and put themselves into it to ease the stress of life. This workshop is suitable for students who would like to practise Yoga at home.

Home-based Exercise

Objectives:
At the end of the workshop, students will be able to:

1. Point out the safety guidelines and training theories of home-based exercise;
2. Practice the most suitable type of exercise with respect to the training goals; and
3. Establish regular exercise habit.

Description:
You can be fit from exercising at home. This workshop is designed to teach students to understand the methods of training in a home-based setting. The tutor will lead the students to practice different training methods in response to the individual needs and abilities of the students.

Donate Blood, Give Life

Objectives:
At the end of the seminar, students will be able to:

1. Understand the meaning of blood donation;

Description:
There is no substitute for blood. In order to provide fresh blood products for treatments of patients with chronic diseases or in need of surgery because of illness or accident, people entirely count on the generosity of the blood donors to donate on a continuous basis. However, you may have concerns to stop you from donating blood. This seminar will provide answers to the frequently asked questions, such as donation procedure and health concerns.

Prevent Cancer by eating right

Influenza, also known as the flu, is a contagious respiratory disease caused by different strains of viruses. Flu viruses spread from person to person when people who are infected cough or sneeze. But for young children, the elderly or those with a chronic illness, the flu can be life-threatening. Preventing infection in the first place is key.

Hatha Yoga is a popular type of yoga which is focusing on mediation, power and balance. Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures. The word “hatha” can be translated two ways: as “willful” or “forceful,” or the yoga of activity, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation. This workshop is suitable for students who already has a yoga foundation.

The talk aims to promote the message “respect each individual life” through how to cherish life, loving it and have progress in it.” This event is co-organized by Hong Kong Red Cross.
