中國書法入門 ─ 行楷書法

Fundamental Chinese Calligraphy – Xing Shu & Kai Shu

Objectives:
At the end of the programme, students will be able to:
 1. Describe the fundamental concepts of Chinese culture;
 2. Practice Kai Shu writings; and
 3. Enjoy Chinese calligraphy.

Description:
This course will introduce basic techniques of Chinese calligraphy of Kai Shu and Xing Shu. You will have practice times for Chinese writing.

Description:
Circle Painting is a collective art experience where participants are encouraged to unleash their creativity and use the canvas to bridge the gap between diverse perspectives and ideas. The painting process provides a platform for students to share positive attitude and express their emotion through images.

Description:
Pastel Nagomi Art (PNA) is using pastels and fingers to create a gentle, transparent, warm and heart-touching art through simple yet unique ways of painting techniques. The mission of PNA is to achieve a society and community that is spiritually rich, healthy, harmonious and balanced.

Henna art workshop (NEW)

Objectives:
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. Experience henna art;
2. Enhance the understanding on characteristics, cultural and religious backgrounds of EMs in Hong Kong; and
3. Realise the mental health challenges faced by EMs.

Description:
Ethnic Minorities (EMs) may encounter racial discrimination and face social exclusion on multiple levels in HK. These barriers exacerbate the mental health challenges faced by EMs. The course provides a chance for students to understand the cultural and challenge that the EMs confronting. We hope to promote a justice society with equal opportunities and nondiscrimination.

Performances@Lingnan: A Latin evening with Eduardo Tami
(NEW)

Objectives:
At the end of the concert, students will be able to:
1. Identify the background of Tango and Argentine folk music;
2. Recognise different Tango styles; and
3. Enjoy the Tango and Argentine folk music.

Description:
This concert features our Unit guest musician from Argentina, Eduardo Tami, who will perform Tango and Argentine folk music on flute. He will be joined by other guest musicians on piano, percussion and string instruments alongside the tango dancers. The concert will showcase a variety of musical styles including Tango(探戈)and Milonga(米隆加). Students will enjoy an evening music and dance assortment of Latin flavour.
