Connecting the dots
Supported by the Lingnan Non-local Student Scholarship, my journey at Lingnan had been fruitful graduating with First Class Honor from the Economics major. I was exceptionally grateful to be enrolled in the Faculty of Social Sciences because the breadth of the interdisciplinary training established a coherent intellectual base for me to understand regional and international affairs from various angles. The courses' relevance to our everyday life emphasize on humanities and provide insights into the real world. Our close rapport with professors and mentors allowed analysis and discussion over feasibility of theories and practical application of current policies. Gaining exposure from fellow colleagues at this creative and collaborative environment was one of the most precious experience as the strong desire of these global citizen demonstrated massive capacity and eagerness to make an impact in this ever-changing environment.
Linking the theoretical knowledge to practical implementation has been particularly rewarding as I participated in voluntary services and international conferences such as the Athens Democracy Forum and Clinton Global Initiative University. It developed a sense of purposeful involvement in me to personal commitment and ongoing responsibility for the idealism that I believe in.
