The Kubuqi competition is an annual event aimed at promoting sustainable development and environmental protection in the Kubuqi Desert region while encouraging students to contribute to ecological conservation. It also seeks to promote global and national sustainable development and ecological conservation. Participants from various countries and regions come together to showcase their skills, ideas, and innovative solutions for a greener future.

The MScESGM students, with their solid academic skills and innovative thinking, have strived for five months and overcame various difficulties, achieving excellent results. The results of this competition demonstrate the determination and capabilities of MScESGM students to overcome challenges and achieve great heights. Before the competition, recommended by Professor CHEN Yifeng, Mr Plato K.T YIP, Vice Chairman of Elion International Investment Limited, and Ms Julie NIE, Chairperson of Elion Foundation Limited, introduced the background and founding philosophy of the competition to the students. During the competition, Professor SHI Shanshan, the Programme Director of MScESGM, invited Ms Belinda LAU, manager of the Lingnan Office of service-learning, to provide training on how to write a business plan for the students. Dr. Stan HO, Adjunct professor of the Faculty of Business, also provided valuable guidance to the competition teams.

We are incredibly proud of the MScESGM programme students at Lingnan University for their outstanding achievements and spirit of cooperation in The Second Kubuqi International Desert Sustainable Development Proposal Competition. We hope that their performance will inspire others to contribute to the environmental protection of the desert area.
