Recognition by Professional Bodies

BBA (Hons) Programme - Finance Stream

Graduates of the Finance Stream are granted certain exemptions from the examinations of well-known professional bodies such as:

  • The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB)
  • Hong Kong Securities and Investment (HKSI) Institute
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (Exemption from attendance in certain courses) (CFP)

The BBA finance is a accredited programme of the CFA Institute. Graduates are eligible to register for the CFA examinations and student membership of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI). Some Scholarships are available to students to sit for these professional examinations.

 

BBA (Hons) - Risk and Insurance Management Programme

Graduates of the Risk and Insurance Management are eligible to:

  • The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) will grant up to 100 Diploma Credits and 30 Certificate credits towards this Programme. If a student has earned 100 credits then by taking two CII exams, insurance law and business, they will be awarded the DipCII award. It is possible for our students to earn a BBA (RIM) degree and the DipCII at graduation. The combination of an academic degree and a professional qualification will be very attractive to prospective students. For more information, please consult your adviser.

  • Graduates may also apply for the Senior Associate membership of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF)
  • earn exemption from attendance at certain courses  of the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (CFP).
HKIFC
