Lingnan University launches Gerontechnology Practitioner Training Courses and Socialpreneur Incubation Courses
Lingnan University was nominated on the Chief Executive’s Community Project List and granted close to HK$20 million by The Hong Kong Jockey Club to run a pilot project “LU Jockey Club Gerontechnology and Smart Ageing”。 The aim is to demonstrate how technology can improve healthcare, meals, day-to-day living conditions and transportation for the elderly and help them adapt to the changes taking place in society at large.
Lingnan University has recently launched Gerontechnology Practitioner Training Courses and Socialpreneur Incubation Courses. The objective of the Gerontechnology Practitioner Training courses is to arouse elderly people and their caregivers’ interest in Gerontechnology. The course content covers the areas of Healthcare, Dining, Living and Transport. The Socialpreneur Incubation Courses aim to enhance young people’s understanding of socialpreneurship and to equip them with knowledge and skills essential for becoming socialpreneurs.
