Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE)


Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) is the self-financing arm of Lingnan University providing various full-time academic and part-time continuing education programmes, including Postgraduate Diploma, overseas top-up degree, Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma, Diploma Yi Jin and other Lifelong and professional education programmes to meet the diverse learning needs of society. Applications are now invited for the following post:


Administrative Assistant

(Post Ref.: 19/325/W)       


The appointee will be required to (a) assist in handling of student enrollment, student record, timetabling, examination and graduation of education programmes; (b) provide administrative support for academic programmes and promotional campaigns, answer enquiries, co-ordinate the academic and logistics support for programmes and events; (c) liaise with other departments/units and external parties for programme operation; and (d) perform other duties as assigned. The appointee may be required to work on irregular hours when necessary.



Applicants should possess (i) post-secondary qualification, a bachelor’s degree would be preferred; (ii) some administrative working experience, preferably in tertiary education sector; (iii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iv) a high level of computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing and webpage applications; and (v) the ability to work independently and communicate effectively. Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.


Salary and Fringe Benefits
Commencing salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity. Appointment will be made on fixed-term contract, which will be renewable subject to mutual agreement.
