Men's Basketball Team grasps championship at Jackie Chan Challenge Cup

Men’s Basketball Team of Lingnan University won the championship at the final of the 20th Jackie Chan Challenge Cup Hong Kong Universities Tournament held on 5 November.

 

The annual Jackie Chan Challenge Cup Hong Kong Universities Tournament organised by Lingnan University covers seven events including Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Volleyball, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, Men’s Table-tennis and Women’s Table-tennis, and it is participated by sports teams from eight UGC-funded universities.  

 

Our University’s sports teams performed excellently in this year’s Tournament.  The Men’s Basketball Team met with the strong team from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in the final.  With rich experience, good cooperation between team members and conversant skills, the Lingnan Team scored a 56:34 victory over its opponent.  Meanwhile, Lingnan’s Women’s Volleyball Team and Men’s Soccer Team also won the 2nd Runner-up in their respective category of competitions.
