Lingnan organises Information Day to introduce its campus life and programme information

Lingnan University has all along attempted to deepen the understanding of secondary school teachers and students on Lingnan.  On 6 October, the University organised a luncheon for over 50 careers and guidance masters and principals of secondary schools.  At the event, Vice-President Joshua Mok Ka-ho shared the latest developments and encouraging achievements of the University, and the characteristics of Lingnan’s liberal arts education.  The University organised the Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions 2017 on 21 October when secondary school students, parents and members of the public visited the campus to obtain latest information about the University and its programmes and admission arrangements, and experience the teaching and learning environment as well as campus life of the only liberal arts university in Hong Kong.

 

The Information Day featured a wide variety of events including programme introduction talks, exhibitions and booths organised by the University’s three faculties, namely Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Business and Faculty of Social Sciences, to showcase their programmes’ design, content and unique features in teaching and learning.  Information related to admission arrangements was provided to participants who were mostly secondary school students, and questions related to admission were addressed on the spot.  The University also introduced its new JUPAS admission arrangements in 2018.

 

Academic departments, teaching units and student organisations also staged a series of exciting activities including seminars, booth activities, business startup sharing, campus tours, book fair and arts exhibitions, so that the public could know more about Lingnan’s multi-cultural, diversified learning environment and interesting campus life.

 

Apart from the Information Day, the University also organised a luncheon on 6 October with over 50 careers and guidance masters and principals of secondary schools attended.  The aim of the activity is to deepen the understanding of secondary school teachers and students on Lingnan.  At the event, Vice-President Joshua Mok Ka-ho shared the latest developments and encouraging achievements of the University, and the characteristics of Lingnan’s liberal arts education.
