Faculty of Business organises BBA Taiwan Study Tour 2018

Sponsored by Lingnan’s Faculty of Business, a group of 20 business undergraduate students visited Taiwan for a 4-day study tour from 2 to 5 January.

Led by Prof Paul Whitla, Associate Director of Undergraduate Business Programmes, the study tour aims to broaden students’ horizons on the study environment and business development in Taiwan, and allow them to observe the real-life business operations there.

During the study tour, the delegation paid visits to a number of universities and academic research institutes in Taiwan, including National Chiao Tung University, Fu Jen Catholic University and Taiwan Institute of Economic Research.  The visits provided students with unique opportunities to attend lectures and panel discussions hosted by local professors to discuss different business issues facing Taiwan.

In addition, the students also visited Taiwan Stock Exchange and HeySong Corporation.  Through a wide variety of interactive activities, participating students were able to learn about the current stock market in Taiwan, as well as understand the daily operation and the latest development of both corporations.

Integrating business knowledge and practical business applications, the study tour was a fruitful and valuable learning experience for participating students whose global exposure and horizon have undoubtedly broadened.
