Lingnan Education Organization appoints ambassadors

The Lingnan Education Organization (LEO) Ambassadors Appointment Ceremony was held at Lingnan Club on 1 June.  Mr Patrick Wong Chi-kwong, Chairman of LEO and President Leonard K Cheng officiated at the Ceremony and presented certificates of appointment to the students.  This year, 68 students were appointed as LEO Ambassadors, who will help promote Lingnan’s liberal arts education and contribute their efforts to social services.

At the Appointment Ceremony, Ms Twinkie Wong Tsing-sum, recipient of The Most Distinguished Student of the University Award shared her experiences on how Lingnan has transformed her life through engaging in community service and student exchange programmes during her 4-year study in the University.  Another LEO Ambassador, Ms Cynthia Yeung Lok-sum, awardee of Student Research Enhancement Scheme and a Translation Year 2 student, shared on how she fully applied her knowledge and skills in her undergraduate research experience.

With the generous donation from LEO, the 10-year “LEO Ambassadors Programme” was established since the academic year 2009/10 to provide scholarships and awards to recognise students with outstanding academic performance and dedicated social service commitment, and support students to go on exchange, participate in research projects and enjoy hostel life on campus.
