Issue No. 82 Oct 2018
The first game-based science learning activity “‘Law of the Forest’ – Ecology Board Game Workshop” at the University organised by Science Unit and Outdoor Wildlife Learning Hong Kong (OWLHK) was held on 4 October, attracting around 70 Lingnan students to join.
The workshop was divided into two parts. The first part involved sharing by Dr Xoni MA, Education Director as well as one of the founders of OWLHK on forest ecology and biodiversity of Hong Kong. The participants then played the exciting board game in groups under the guidance of the tutors from OWLHK. In addition to in-depth understanding of the ecosystem and habitats of Hong Kong, the activity enhanced the participants’ interest in science, as well as their awareness of environmental conservation.
