Experience Lingnan University’s unique liberal arts tradition by joining its Summer School

Lingnan University is inviting applications to more than 20 courses of its Summer School this year, which encompass disciplines of Business, Humanities, Languages, Science, Service-Learning and Social Sciences to cater for the diverse interests of students and members of the community.

 

The Summer School welcomes enrolments from local and non-local post-secondary students and other interested persons with equivalent qualifications. Summer School students are offered to use the University’s facilities and have the chance to enjoy hostel life during the study period to experience Lingnan’s unique liberal arts tradition.

 

Courses offered by the Summer School include the new course “Principles and Practice of Social Policy”, which introduces students to the academic discipline of social policy. A wide variety of language courses are also available. Those who are preparing to sit for the IELTS examination may consider enrolling in the course “IELTS Preparation”. “Enhancing Putonghua Proficiency Skills” is offered to prepare students with the skills and techniques needed to take the National Putonghua Proficiency Test (PPT). “Chinese Language as a Second Language I” is specially designed for non-Chinese speaking students. Other elementary language courses in Korean and Spanish are offered as well.

 

The Lingnan Summer School 2017 will begin on 31 May and end on 6 July. Course details and application guidelines can be found on its website http://www.ln.edu.hk/summer/. Completed application forms should be submitted to the Registry on or before 3 March (for non-local applicants) and 31 March (for local applicants). For Lingnan undergraduate students, online application is available from 24 to 30 March.
