The HKSAR Government has published the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (the Regulation) (Cap.599G) in the Gazette with a view to combating the COVID-19 epidemic with resolute and stringent measures on 8 April 2020.

To prevent, protect against, delay or otherwise control the incidence or transmission of the the disease, group gatherings with more than four people in public places will continue to be prohibited in accordance with the Regulation with effect from 0:00a.m. on 10 April 2020 till 23 April 2020 for 14 days. As the Easter holiday is coming, the Committee would like to take this chance to remind all stakeholders not to participate in any social activities / meal gatherings so as to reduce the chance of cross infections and minimise the risk of outbreak clusters emerging in the community. If feeling unwell, you should wear a surgical mask and seek medical consultation promptly. Please note that 12 general outpatient clinics under the Hospital Authority will provide normal service during the coming Easter holiday. For details, please refer to the related press release of HKSAR at the link below:

The Committee strongly advises all stakeholders to maintain at all times strict personal and environmental hygiene, wear masks, reduce the frequency of visiting and time staying at common facilities, maintain an appropriate social distance with other people as far as possible in daily lives. All stakeholders should also perform hand hygiene frequently, especially before touching the mouth, nose or eyes.
