Lingnan University joins the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN)

LU has officially become a member of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), the United Nations (UN) global initiative uniting universities, research centres and other knowledge institutions which transform the latest expertise in sustainable development into action by localising and mobilising support for Sustainable Development Goals, including keeping governments informed and addressing the challenges of sustainable development; promoting first-class education and collaboration for sustainable development in research; and vetting and launching solution initiatives, including assisting with the preparation of long-term pathways.

Earlier in 2020, LU came second worldwide in “Quality Education”, a UN SDG, in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings 2020 assessing universities worldwide in terms of their performance and impact.

LU also excels in SDGs “No Poverty” and “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, ranking 48th and 71st respectively.

This membership allows LU to increase its research, knowledge transfer activities and excellence in teaching and learning to reach SDGs worldwide.
