Vice President's Visit to The University of British Columbia, Canada

Professor Joshua Mok, Vice President of Lingnan University visited The University of British Columbia in Canada on 20 June 2019 and he was warmly welcomed by the colleagues of International Office of UBC. Dr Marali Chandrashekaran, Vice Provost, International, Emily MacDougail, Director of Global Partnership, and Cheryl Dumaresq, Managing Director of Office of the Vice-Provost, International met Professor Mok and had good conversations about collaborations between Lingnan and UBC. With student and staff exchanges being signed, our BA in Global Liberal Arts programme students will have the great exchange opportunity with UBC, while more learning opportunities are made available to students who have interests to undertake  research in Canada through the "Visiting International Research Students (VIRS) Scheme" run by UBC. During the visit, Professor Mok and Dr Chandrashekaran also explored collaborations in international research partnership, PhD student exchange and internship opportunities for students from both universities.
