Dr QIAN Jiwei is a research fellow in East Asian Institute, National University of Singapore. He obtained his BSc in computer science from Fudan University, China and PhD degree in economics from the National University of Singapore. His research on Chinese health and social policy has been published in publications such as The China Quarterly, Health Economics, Policy and Law, Journal of Mental Health Policy and Economics, Oxford Bibliographies in Chinese Studies and Singapore Economic Review. His recent book is Health Policy Reform in China: A Comparative Perspective, coauthored with Professor Å ke Blomqvist (World Scientific, 2014). His current research interests include health economics, political economy and development economics.
