Celebrating Passion and Developing Bonding: IHEM Programme Alumni Gathering

 

Master of Arts in International Higher Education and Management (IHEM) programme successfully held an alumni gathering to celebrate their achievements and build connections. IHEM graduates with their family and the staff of School of Graduate Studies (GS) attended the gathering at Shangri-La Hotel Shenzhen on 18 January 2020. All participants were delighted to share their happy and memorable moments in IHEM.

Prof. JIANG Jin, the IHEM Programme Director, welcomed IHEM graduates and introduced the GS staff attending the gathering. Prof. MOK Ka Ho, Vice-President of Lingnan University and Dean of GS, delivered a welcoming speech and shared the latest development of GS with alumni. Prof. Mok also encouraged graduates to actively participate in alumni activities and stay in touch with Lingnan University.

Apart from the sharing, an interesting game session was arranged by the Associate Director of IHEM, Prof. XIONG Weiyan. Through the teamwork of graduates and GS faculty members, this game not only strengthened the connections among alumni, but also helped them recall their happy memories during their study in IHEM.

After the game session, Prof. Jiang shared the latest development of the IHEM Programme with the alumni and encouraged them to remain strongly connected with the Programme.

Alumni sharing was one of the highlights of the event. Ms. LI Hua, graduate of 2018 and the founder and executive director overseeing several kindergartens in Shenzhen, emphasized what she had learnt from the Programme are important in her management of the kindergartens and leading the kids on the right track. Mr. DENG Changgen, IHEM graduate of 2017, the vice-principal of a private secondary school in Shenzhen, stressed IHEM has greatly improved his critical thinking skills and benefited his current work.

The gathering concluded with a tea buffet. All participants were treated with a variety of western-style desserts and drinks. During the tea reception, IHEM alumni and GS staff chatted up and connected with one another in a relaxing ambience.

The IHEM Alumni Gathering was truly a joyful and memorable event for all the participants. The Programme team sincerely hopes that the friendship among IHEM alumni and the connection between alumni and the IHEM programme will go beyond into the future.
