A connection with nature always makes us healthier and happier people. In order to engage students to explore the natural world in Hong Kong, the Division of Graduate Studies organized a boat trip to Kat O, Ap Chau and Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park on 18 March 2018. More than 120 students, teachers and staff joined the event and enjoyed a relaxing day.
It is hard to say which part the best and memorable was that day. Sailing in the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark was a fresh experience to many of us, not to mention the watching coral on the glass-bottom-boat. Besides, we went to Kat O, a place which is renowned for its irregular landscape and delicious seafood, for sight-seeing and sumptuous seafood lunch. After that, we visited Lai Chi Wo, a 300-year-old village, to learn about its culture and heritage. Our students and staff had not only a good time to stay close to nature but also a valuable chance to socialize and interact with others.
