On 12 November 2021, the College of Education, National Chengchi University (NCCU) in Taiwan successfully hosted the 4th NCCU-Lingnan International Research Seminar titled “The Changing Context of Global Higher Education in the Post Pandemic”. This event is part of the annual research seminar series co-organized by Lingnan University and NCCU for developing research collaboration and doctoral student training, with the support of Lingnan’s Institute of Policy Studies.

Lingnan research team and doctoral students participated in the Seminar online. This year, speakers and participants from the US, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China, Malaysia, Australia, and Ghana shared their research on higher education development in the post-pandemic era. Various aspects of this topic were discussed, including higher education policymaking, the impact of the pandemic on higher education internationalization, research development, new learning models, college students’ online learning assessment, and international students’ experiences during the pandemic.

Lingnan University and NCCU have established a solid strategic partnership in research collaboration and doctoral student training. In addition to the annual research seminar, in September of 2020, Lingnan and NCCU successfully launched the Dual Doctoral Degree Programme of Doctor of Policy Studies (DPS) and PhD of Education Policy/Administration to enhance students’ research experience with international and comparative perspectives.
