An important aspect of the international outlook of the IMCSP programme is your ability to make connections with international experts in comparative social policy, development and governance beyond the Lingnan University faculty:

  • Scholars from universities in Greater China, East Asia, and more internationally will contribute to the IMCSP programme as guest speakers and lecturers.
  • Students enrolled in the IMCSP programme will benefit from research workshops organised on the Lingnan University campus and regional site visits organised together with our international partners, including the East Asia Social Policy Research Network, the Asia Pacific Higher Education Research Partnership, and the East-West Centre in the United States.
  • A selection of students will have the opportunity to join an international pathway to study for one term in the Department of Social Policy & Social Work, University of York, as part of its MA on Comparative and International Social Policy. The Department of Social Policy and Social Work at University of York is a leading centre for social policy research worldwide. In the recent UK Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014, the Department of Social Policy and Social Work ranks first in the United Kingdom for the impact of its research; 87% of research activity was rated as world leading or internationally excellent.

The exposure and ability to work with these international experts in comparative social policy will widen your perspective and strengthen your international networks.
