為了讓觀眾可以親身體驗陶瓷藝術的創作過程和樂趣,少雪齋藝術展覽館將與香港的初五工作室合作,於七月舉辦「傳統陶藝之旅:瓷器裝飾工作坊」。參加者可選擇在預先準備的瓷器上繪畫青花或塗上特製釉料營造開片效果,親手打造獨一無二的陶瓷傑作,一探古代工匠的創作情景。

In order to provide audiences with a hands-on experience of the creative process and the joy of ceramic art, Chamber of Young Snow Art Exhibition Hall has partnered with Hong Kong’s Fifthday Studio to organize a porcelain decoration workshop called “A Hands-on Journey of Traditional Ceramic Art: Porcelain Decoration Workshop.” in July. During the workshop, participants will be able to paint blue-and-white patterns or apply special glazes to pre-prepared porcelain wares, resulting in stunning crackling effects, offering participants the opportunity to create their unique ceramic masterpieces while immersing themselves in the creative scenes of ancient craftsmen.

Date: July 16 and 30, 2024 (participants are allowed to register for only one of the two sessions provided)

Time: 2:00-3:30 PM

Venue: Chamber of Young Snow Art Exhibition Hall

Participants: 10 people per session

Language: Cantonese

Free admission, welcome to visit upon reservation.*

*Registration starts from 2024 June 18 to 2024 July 9. Registrants are required to pay a deposit of 300 Hong Kong dollars as a reservation fee, which will be refunded after the event. Priority will be given to participants who have paid a deposit in advance, details will be notified through WhatsApp or email at that time. Please note that absentees will not be eligible for a refund.

Background of CYS Hall:

CYS Hall presents a remarkable collection of Chinese art from the Chamber of Young Snow. It aims at promoting an appreciation and scholarly study of Chinese art, while also enhancing intergenerational and cross-cultural dialogue through carefully staged exhibitions and educational programs. In addition, through various curatorial initiatives and engagement activities, CYS Hall explores traditional Chinese art as a creative heritage and strives to create a “Museum Commons” that caters to diverse communities.
