Movie screenings, which were once regarded as a minor entertainment showing in gardens and opera theatres, became the major attraction. More movie theatres were then opened specifically for screenings. Most of the cinema houses were located in Sheung Wan and Central, the core district of Hong Kong's colonial administration. In this tour, we will visit those places where early theatres were built.
