Kwaku Abrefa Busia is a RGC Postdoctoral Fellow (Research Assistant Professor) at Lingnan University, Hong Kong where he completed his PhD in Sociology and Social Policy. His doctoral research which was funded by the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) investigated work-family interface among married working mothers in urban Ghana. He is an interdisciplinary scholar with research interests in gender, work-family interface, family studies and sociology of development notably small-scale mining in Africa, local governance and community development. Dr. Abrefa Busia holds an MPhil in African Studies from Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge together with an MPhil in Development Studies from St Antony's College, University of Oxford. He is a member of the Work and Family Researchers' Network (WFRN) which is a global network of interdisciplinary scholars, practitioners and policymakers interested in the intersections of work and family across the globe.
