REN Chunhui received his PhD in Urban Planning from Ohio State University. Before joining the Department in August 2023, he had taught/worked at multiple universities including University of Texas at Austin, Delta State University, and University of Cincinnati. Currently, he is also a Faculty Associate in the Center for Social Development at Washington University in St. Louis. His research features the use of quantitative methods to explore such issues as labor-market discrimination, housing, international migration, and consumer behavior in the contexts of Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the United States.
