HASAN Khan Mehedi (PhD, 2020)

I am proud to be a PhD student of the Department of Economics, Lingnan University, Hong Kong.  I received enormous counseling and support from my Chief Supervisor during my whole research journey. The Department arranged many seminars in the Department where academicians around the world presented their researches. I benefited significantly from those seminars, as the Department allowed all postgraduate students to participate. I also enjoyed several opportunities to present my research to the professors and invited guest speakers, an experience that helped to develop my research. Based on Lingnan University’s postgraduate collaboration program, I participated in a one-semester exchange with the University of Stirling, Scotland, UK. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to participate in several international seminars and conferences across Asia and Europe. I appreciate the Department’s generous administrative support in those endeavors. I am thankful to the Department for having sponsored me to participate in a 3-day workshop led by Professor Josh Angrist (MIT) held in the University of Tokyo, Japan. I strongly believe that my accrued knowledge from Lingnan will help my professional advancement.
