Introduction:

Prof. Chen is the Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Management at Lingnan University. She earned her Ph.D. in Management from City University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on creativity and innovation at both individual and team levels, leadership, proactivity, and prosocial behavior. Prof. Chen has published nearly 30 articles, demonstrating a significant level of research productivity. Her work appears in premier management journals such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management Studies, Human Relations, Human Resource Management, and Journal of Organizational Behavior.

 

She serves on the editorial review boards of prestigious journals including Personnel Psychology, Human Relations, and Work, Aging and Retirement. Currently, she is the Chair of the SIOP (Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology) Virtual Program for the Greater China Region. Prof. Chen has received several accolades for her research and teaching, including the Early Career Award from the University Grants Committee of Hong Kong, and the Research Output Excellence Award and the Education for Service Faculty Award from Lingnan University.

 

Prof. Chen is actively engaged in knowledge transfer and has developed an extensive business network, including collaborations with several Hong Kong-listed companies, to foster cross-fertilization between research and practical application. Her impact case titled “Enhancing Individual, Team, and Organization Effectiveness through People-Oriented Leadership” was featured in the RAE 2020 Impact Case Studies – Business & Commerce cluster and was the subject of a public lecture in 2021.
