Abstract
Across the globe, rethinking smart mobility is a priority in sustainable urban development. MTR has been enhancing customers’ travelling experience with technology and making its best endeavours to promote Smart City development with the Rail-plus-Property development model. By incorporating advancements in Rail Tech and Smart City development, the Rail-plus-Property model can promote a more sustainable way of living for the future. We can maximise development potential and enhance land supply to more effectively meet community needs for housing as well as economic and social development.

Dr Rex Auyeung Chairman, MTR Corporation Limited |
Dr Rex Auyeung has become the Non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MTR Corporation since 1 July 2019. He has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry in Canada and Hong Kong. Dr Auyeung actively serves the public sector and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Investor and Financial Education Council under the Securities and Futures Commission, a board member of Bo Charity Foundation (Food Angel) and a convenor of the Advisory Committee of the Jockey Club Community eHealth Care Project. Dr Auyeung previously served as the Chairman of the Council of Lingnan University.
Dr Auyeung holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Urban and Regional Planning) Honours Degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He was conferred a Doctor of Business Administration, honoris causa, by Lingnan University in 2020. |
