1. Academic Writing Workshops 

The Academic Writing Workshop series under LEAP (Academic Learning Enhancement) is designed to assist you in preparing your academic work during your postgraduate studies. There are three sessions (Section A, Section B and Section C) with the same content and you can simply enroll on one that fits your schedule.  Each workshop has two sessions (total learning hours: 4).
 

Content

Lecture 1

Academic Writing and Plagiarism - Types of Academic Writing, Citation Styles, Source Evaluation, Turnitin etc.

Lecture 2

Researching and Writing at Postgraduate Level - Design, Structure, Language, Style etc. of Postgraduate Academic Writing

2. Individual/Small Group Academic Writing Consultation with Learning Ambassadors (current doctoral students) 

To facilitate your success in academic writing, the Learning Enhancement Activities Plan (LEAP) under School of Graduate Studies prepares regular 1-1 or small group consultation sessions.  Students can take your academic papers and ask for suggestions from the learning ambassadors.  The learning ambassadors are current doctoral students and can feel your loneliness in the process of preparing academic papers.

Period: Mid-February to Mid-June 2023 (Term 2, 2022-23)

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 nn (4 sessions per day, eg.10:00 - 10:30 as 1 session)

Max 1 session/ person/ week and 4 sessions / person / term.
