Introduction
The role of new technologies in the higher education sector is bound to intensify in the foreseeable future, with significant implications for teaching and learning. The rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence and Large Language Models (LLM) is undeniably revolutionising higher education in ways that are yet to be fully understood. The 2024 Postgraduate Conference on Interdisciplinary Learning will deliberate on the critical role of new technologies in postgraduate research, teaching, and learning in the foreseeable future.
Consistent with previous Postgraduate Conferences hosted by the School of Graduate Studies, this conference shall offer a platform for research and taught postgraduate students across the globe to interact with each other and share their current and prospective research and learning experiences with established scholars. Invited speakers and students are encouraged to connect or draw implications from their papers for research impact creation and training.

Call for Papers
Proposals are now invited to the conference. Proposals in Social Sciences (broadly defined to include those in public health and the built environment, etc.), Data Science, Environmental Science, Business, and Arts and Humanities. Papers from other fields may also be considered.
Students can submit proposals that are discipline-specific or interdisciplinary. The intended presentation can be completed research or a research proposal. It can focus on any or a combination of these thematic areas:
Students can choose to present their proposals orally. Interested students should submit an abstract of approximately 250 words, or a poster title and abstract, by 20 February 2024 (HKT). Submissions should be made via the online registration form, which can be accessed by click here.
Application of Scholarship
Scholarships may be provided to research postgraduate students from developing countries who are currently studying outside of Hong Kong. Eligible students who are interested in applying for the scholarship are required to upload (i) a CV and (ii) a letter of recommendation/support from their supervisor in the online registration form (Click Here) by 20 February 2023. Applications without the required supporting documents will not be considered by the Panel.
The Best Paper Award
Th Best Paper Award will be presented to the outstanding Lingnan students from research postgraduate programmes and professional doctorate programme students (e.g. Doctor of Policy Studies). Eligible students who would like to be considered by the Panel for the Award are required to upload a draft of the paper to the online registration form (Click Here). The draft should include an abstract, background, methodology, key findings and discussion (max. 2,000 words).
