To celebrate the graduation of Lingnan's Taught Master Programmes Students, the Dinner for Graduating Taught Postgraduate Student organized by Division of Graduate Studies (DGS) was held on 15 May 2017 at the Regal Kowloon Hotel. More than 180 graduating students, teachers, staff and guests joined the event and enjoyed a memorable evening.

The event started with the National Anthem and Lingnan Anthem, followed by the welcoming remark by Professor Leonard K. Cheng, President of Lingnan University. Professor Cheng congratulated all the graduating students on the completion of their studies, and wished them every success in their future endeavors. He also noted that all the graduating students will soon become our alumni and urged everyone to cherish and maintain a close bond. After that, two student representatives have shared their gratitude, memories, and feelings of studying at Lingnan. Ms Ding Kexin from the MSc. in International Banking and Finance (MIBF) Program shared the memories she will take with her when she leaves Lingnan. Ms Tu Thao Hieu, a Vietnam student from MSc. in Marketing and International Business Program, was grateful for everything that Lingnan gave her. She also sincerely expressed her gratitude to the professors and staff.

Student talents sparkled the event with their great performances. Mr Bai Tian Yu from MScMIB rewrote the Chinese lyrics of “Love Confession” into English version and sang for the audience. Another performer, Ms Gao Yuan from Master of Accountancy, impressed the audience with her bamboo flute performance. Finally, three students from the MScMIB (Caitlyn, Echo and Zoe) gave us a perfect ending of the performance session by singing “Goodbye” with our lecturers and students on stage.

Last but not least, Mr William Leung, Vice-chair of Lingnan University Alumni Associate (Hong Kong) was invited to provide more information regarding the transition from a student to alumni.

A slide show of DGS’s learning enhancement activities and students' joyful moments at Lingnan was also played during the dinner, reminiscing their wonderful memories. Students and teachers all enjoyed it very much.

Marking the end of the graduation dinner, all the graduating students and guests went on stage and had group photos taken.
