Impact of COVID-19 on global higher education

Prof Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Vice-President and Lam Man Tsan Chair Professor of Comparative Policy of Lingnan University, was invited to RTHK Radio 1 to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on global higher education. Prof Mok shared that the mobility of overseas students may change in the coming years, as parents and students from Asia are showing more concerns with safety and security issues and would prefer studying in Asia, and that overseas institutions whose revenue largely comes from international students’ tuition fees will be significantly affected. This may result in a cut in research activities and hinder the overall and learning experience for students.
