To recognise Ms Sylvia Chang’s outstanding achievements in the movie industry and her significant contributions to the charity works in Hong Kong and the world, Lingnan conferred the degree of Doctor of Humanity honoris causa on her last week. In an interview with the media, Sylvia Chang said that she was very excited to be awarded the honorary doctorate conferred by Lingnan University, saying that she has been working for over 50 years without studying at any university, and so the society is her “university”. Speaking of her contributions in the past 50 years, she said her responsibility is not yet complete and that she hopes to produce better works for the next generation.
