Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony between Lingnan University and Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC)
On 12 May 2022, Lingnan University (LU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) at a virtual signing ceremony officiated by Professor Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Vice-President and Dean of School of Graduate Studies, Lingnan University, Mr. Peter Lau Man-pong, Member, Board of Governors & Chairman, Arts Programme Committee, and Ms. Connie Lam, Executive Director of Hong Kong Arts Centre. The partnership aims to support our new Taught Postgraduate (TPg) programme, Master of Arts in Arts and Cultural Heritage Management (MA ACHM), to be launched in the coming academic year 2022-23.
The MA ACHM programme is a double degree programme steered and managed by the School of Graduate Studies of Lingnan University and the Lincoln International Business School, University of Lincoln. The programme features East-West partnership and it is locally supported by the Hong Kong Arts Centre as a Co-teaching Partner with respect to its experience and expertise in arts programming, arts and cultural venue management, and heritage site management.
Professor Mok expressed in his speech that the MA ACHM programme is one of the strategic developments of the University’s TPg programmes, the partnership with HKAC will undoubtedly benefit students’ study experiences and professional perspectives in the Arts and Cultural Heritage development.
The programme is designed to allow students to gain the knowledge and skills to operate effectively within the arts and cultural heritage sectors internationally. Students will be exposed to a global learning environment by spending around 6 months at University of Lincoln, which is famous for its world-class heritage assets.
