RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme, Hong Kong - Call for applications for 2025/26

Lingnan University’s Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries (DACI) welcomes applicants in cinema and digital media studies, museum studies, and creative industries for the Hong Kong RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (3-year full time) for the Academic Session 2025/26, in the fields of cinema and digital media studies, museum studies, creative industries, and Asian art. Applicants should demonstrate outstanding qualities of academic performance, research ability/potential, communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities. In 2025-26, each Fellowship awardee will be provided with a monthly stipend of HK$32,802 (subject to annual review) and a conference/research-related travel allowance of up to HK$12,920 per year (subject to annual review), for a maximum period of 3 years.


Qualifications

  • Applicants must have obtained / been conferred a PhD degree or an equivalent qualification on or after 1 January 2020 (i.e. not more than three years before 2023), or will complete the requirement of a PhD degree or an equivalent qualification by 31 August 2024; and
  • Applicants must hold a PhD degree in cinema studies, media studies, art history, communication studies, or related fields with experience conducting cinema and digital media studies research.
  • Academic potential, the capacity to bring varied ideas to the DACI department, and the willingness to connect with a wide variety of colleagues and students will be significant selection criteria.
