Teaching & Learning 教與學


In line with the course-offering mode of the Department of Economics, most of the courses in this programme adopt a lecture-tutorial teaching approach, with a two-hour lecture and a one-hour tutorial; while some courses with smaller class sizes adopt a sectional-approach, with a three-hour lecture. Each course consists of at least 39 contact hours of lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops or project/thesis supervisions. Some practical courses may also include tour visits, laboratory sessions, service learning or other learning activities.

沿用經濟學系的教學模式,本課程大部分科目以2小時講課加1小時導修課的形式進行;而部分規模較小的科目則採用分段式教學,即3小時講課。每個科目包括至少39小時的講課、導修課、專題研習、工作坊或研究項目/論文指導。部分應用科目亦可能包括參觀、實驗課、服務學習或其他學習活動。

Student Exchange Programme 學生交換計劃

With a mission of becoming a world-class liberal arts institution, Lingnan aims at promoting student exchange with other institutions of higher learning throughout the world. Lingnan has set up the Student Exchange Programmes (SEP), offering students a valuable opportunity to "Engage the World" and to study in our partner institutions in overseas countries or Mainland China.

嶺大以成為世界頂尖的博雅教育院校為使命,致力促進學生與其他世界高等學府的交流。嶺大成立了學生交換計劃 (SEP),為學生提供一個「接觸世界」的寶貴機會,讓他們到海外國家或中國大陸的合作院校學習。

Lectures/Tutorials 講課/導修課

Teaching and learning of the courses take place in forms of lectures, tutorials and other class activities. Class participation and discussion, group work and independent learning are expected from students. Audio-visual materials and learning management systems (e.g. Moodle) are used to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness. Statistical training in the computer laboratory enables students to familiarise themselves with the basic statistical computation in education research.

本課程的教學以講課、導修課及其他課堂活動的形式進行。除了課堂參與和討論,學生亦需兼備小組合作和自主學習的能力。為提高教學效率,課堂會採用不同視聽材料和學習管理系統(例如Moodle)。課堂亦包括在電腦實驗室進行的統計培訓,令學生掌握教育研究中的基本統計計算技能。

Mainland Experiential Learning and Workshops 內地體驗學習及工作坊

A key feature of the programme is the ample opportunities provided for students to participate in the study visits and workshops in the Greater Bay Area, where they can observe and experience the real-world situations in different cities of the GBA. The programme also provides courses that entail service learning components in order to enhance students’ learning experience.

本課程其中一個主要特式是為學生提供大量機會參與大灣區的考察訪問和工作坊,使他們能觀察和體驗大灣區不同城市的實際情況。為提升學生的學習體驗,本課程亦提供包含服務學習部分的科目。
