Hostel Residency for PG Students Admitted in 2023-24 and Before

Question 1:  I am a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) student admitted in 2023-24.  Can you advise me on my eligible residency years throughout my study period in the University?

Answer 1:  PhD students admitted to Lingnan University, regardless of the year, will have their eligibilities for residency at the University’s student hostel remain unchanged.  They will continue to maintain their eligibility for student hostel residence throughout their normal study period.

Question 2:  I am a Doctor of Policy Studies (DPS) student admitted in 2023-24.  Can you advise me on my eligible residency years throughout my study period in the University?

Answer 2:  DPS students admitted in 2023-24 or before, are eligible to apply for residency at the student hostel.  The University has reserved a dedicated quota of hostel places for this group of students.  Subject to the availability of this quota, eligible DPS students will be assigned a hostel place.  Students should contact their programme office for detailed information on the application process and availability of hostel places.

Question 3:  I am a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) student admitted in 2023-24.  Can you advise me on my eligible residency years throughout my study period in the University?

Answer 3:  MPhil students admitted in 2023-24 or before, are eligible to apply for residency at the student hostel.  Their eligibilities for residency at the University’s student hostel will remain unchanged.  They will continue to maintain their eligibility for student hostel residence throughout their normal study period.
