Visit to Cyberport

On the afternoon of April 22, 2024, more than 50 students from the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics (MScAIBA) programme at Lingnan University, led by Professor Fong, visited Cyberport.

During this visit, Mr. Billy Chung, Senior Manager of Cyberport, introduced us to the culture and vision of Cyberport. He elaborated on Cyberport's position as Hong Kong's digital technology flagship and entrepreneurship incubation base and its gathering of over 2,000 community enterprises, including more than 900 in-park and nearly 1,100 non-in-park startups and technology companies.

Mr. Billy Chung also introduced cases where generative artificial intelligence was used as a tool to solve real-life problems for our students. This briefing gave students a deep understanding of Cyberport's application in emerging technology fields and further recognized the important role of artificial intelligence and business analytics in driving technological development.

After the briefing, Cyberport's team showcased a series of emerging technology projects to the students, including IT Street, Web 3 Lab, and CyberLab cases.

Cyberport's research team applies machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision methods to solve practical problems, which not only cultivates students' innovative thinking and problem-solving skills but also helps students deeply understand and master the core concepts and technologies of artificial intelligence.

This visit to Cyberport allowed students to gain a better understanding of the digital technology field. We are very grateful to Cyberport for providing such a valuable learning opportunity for students, allowing us to closely understand the latest applications and developments of digital technology and artificial intelligence.
