Lingnan University (LU) is ranked third in the world for “Quality Education” in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022 released today, 28 April 2022.

Although 215 more institutions (22%) from around the world have joined this year’s rankings, LU has maintained its World Top 3 and Hong Kong No. 1 positions for “Quality Education” among 1,180 participating institutions with a better score than last year, confirming Lingnan’s international edge as a global leader in Quality Education and High Impact Research.

“LU’s strong determination and outstanding achievements in providing the highest possible quality teaching and learning, research environment, experiential learning experience and all other supports to students from all backgrounds have again been recognised and acknowledged by the international community,” says Prof Leonard K Cheng, President of LU. “For this, we are very proud, and determined to keep up our work fulfilling the needs of our students and society in general.”

THE Impact Rankings assesses the social impact of universities throughout the world, based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.

In addition to “Quality Education”, Lingnan has initiated and conducted a wide spectrum of community projects as well as humanitarian inventions and research that directly address key social issues in the SDGs, which align with Lingnan’s core values of “Education: Care for Learning”, and “Research: Impact with Care”.
