Postgraduate Conference on Interdisciplinary Learning 2021

On March 26 and 27, Lingnan University (LU) hosted the annual Postgraduate Conference on Interdisciplinary Learning 2021 under the theme “Re-Imagining Postgraduate Studies in the 21st Century and Beyond” to offer not only a multidisciplinary platform for research and taught postgraduate students to reflect upon the ever-expanding discourse on methodological and theoretical approaches to conducting research by sharing their works, but also an opportunity for them to learn from each other through cross-disciplinary intellectual exchange and international research interactions. Organised by the School of Graduate Studies of LU and supported by the University Grants Committee, Hong Kong, the two-day conference in hybrid mode was well attended by over 200 participants from 11 countries/regions with more than 100 presenters from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, the UK, Russia, Sri Lanka, Lithuania, Indonesia, Romania and India.

Lingnan University Cares for Learning and conducts Research for Impact with CARE. In the spirit of promoting student learning, LU has been adopting flexible but appropriate modes to continue to support students in their quest for academic and social excellence.  The Postgraduate Conference held last Friday and Saturday demonstrated how the hybrid mode of participation paves the way for us to enrich students’ learning experience and to facilitate internationalisation of higher education when the world is facing the unprecedented global health crisis leading to emergent online learning as the dominant mode for teaching / learning.
