Mode and Duration

This is a credit-based postgraduate programme. Most courses in the programme carriy 3 credits.

Full-time mode

Applicable for students who are admitted from AY2022-23 onwards
Students have to obtain a minimum of 30 credits which consists of 6 core courses (3 credits each, total 18 credits) and 12 credits of elective courses in order to graduate.

Applicable for students who are admitted in AY2021-22 or before
Students have to obtain a minimum of 30 credits which consists of at least 3 credits in each of the five core clusters (total 15 credits) and 15 credits of elective courses (the extra course taken from the same cluster will be counted as an elective course)in order to graduate.

The normal duration for the programme is one year full-time. The maximum period is two years full-time.

Part-time mode

Students have to obtain less than 12 credits per term. The normal study period is 2 year and maximum period is 4 years.

Teaching normally starts in late August and ends in May. Most classes will be held on weekdays on Lingnan's Tuen Mun campus.

Remarks: Students who are on student visa must study full-time, except for the very last term when less than 12 credits are needed for graduation.
