Due to the latest situation of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, special working arrangement was implemented by the University.
The processing of transcript and testimonial application will be subject to delay. The processing time of transcript and testimonial will take more than 7 working days (excluding the application day) upon receipt of complete information and payment.
Please also note that the delivery of transcript and testimonial will be subject to delay due to special arrangement provided by the Hong Kong Post. The Registry cannot guarantee for the mail delivery time under the COVID-19 situation.

A testimonial would detail the current study status of the applicant in Lingnan University. Information such as the "Date of Attendance", "Programme of study" and "Programme Duration" would be included.
For graduates, academic award attained (if any)* would also be included on the testimonial.
* Note: for final year students, graduation information will only be shown on testimonials applied AFTER the approval of graduation.
Application for a testimonial is free of charge.
For current students of Full-time undergraduate programmes, application can be submitted online via the myLingnan Portal (click on "Student Services" tab). Application can also be made in person at the Registry counter.
For former students or graduates of Full-time undergraduate programmes, applicants may come to the Registry counter in person for application; or write to the Registry by post, via fax or email. For applications by post/email/fax, a copy of your HKID card/ passport has to be submitted alongside your application for verification. For applications made in person at the Registry counter, applicants should present his/her HKID card/Passport for verification of identity.
All application document(s) received will be destroyed 1 year after the date of application.
For students/graduates of Taught Postgraduate programmes, applications should be made to the programme office direct.
For students/graduates of other non-UGC funded programmes, please contact the relevant programme office for applications.
It normally takes 7 working days (excluding the application day) for processing a testimonial application.
Applications will be processed in the order of receipt. Urgent requests may not be entertained.
You may check with the Registry at (852) 2616 8750 to enquire about the processing status, if necessary.
Registry will not inform individual applicants after processing as the testimonial will be ready by 7 working days after the application date. Applicants themselves should take note of the available date for collection of the testimonial.
For collection of the applied testimonial, please come to the Registry counter, and bring along with your student identity card (for current students) or Hong Kong Identity Card / other Identity document (for alumni) for our verification of personal identity. For collection by an authorised person, please provide an authorisation letter duly signed by the applicant and a photocopy of the applicant’s own Identity Card.
If necessary, you may check with the Registry at (852) 2616 8750 to see if your testimonial is ready for collection before you come to collect the testimonial.
Testimonials not collected within 1 year from the date of application will be destroyed by the University without further notice. Applicants concerned, if later on require a testimonial, should submit the application afresh.
