The seminar is an initiative designed to equip students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate their career journeys effectively. The seminar focuses on highlighting and explaining the various employment services offered by the Labour Department. These include the Aim-Higher Scheme, designed to assist job seekers with SEN studying/studied in higher education, and the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme, providing comprehensive support for participants. The Working Holiday Scheme, offering cultural exchanges and international work experience, will also be covered. The seminar's goal is to enable students to understand and utilise these services effectively, empowering them to explore and pursue diverse career pathways.

Medication is not the only health treatment when sound and music might also have a healing effect. But we may be curious how people perceive music in music therapy. In the meantime, what is music to us, and how we experience it? This seminar has invited a registered music therapist, Mr. Hugo Wong and he will elaborate these topics with experiential facilitation and case studies.

This seminar will focus on the structure of the IELTS examination, offer practical strategies and tips for each of its components - Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking - and provide guidance for achieving a high score by highlighting how to effectively structure responses and enhance verbal communication. The seminar will also provide recommendations on using various resources for self-study, enabling students to continue their IELTS preparation independently. Importantly, it will underscore the critical role of a strong IELTS score in opening doors to further studies and global career opportunities.

This seminar aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to better support friends and family experiencing mental health challenges. This includes differentiating between mental distress and mental illness, recognising the early signs of mental health issues, and exploring effective communication strategies. This knowledge is crucial in creating a supportive environment for loved ones facing mental health difficulties. Furthermore, information on available mental health resources and methods for ones to access will be highlighted, to refer to their loved ones or themselves, as supporting others can sometimes lead to emotional exhaustion. At the heart of Central Asia is Uzbekistan, where there is a diverse musical culture, including epic songs about heroic stories from its nomadic past, as well as sophisticated court music related to the great Islamic musical traditions stretching to the Middle Ages.

The seminar is an insightful exploration into the budding field of Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT). Through this seminar, participants will be introduced to the concept and practices of Animal-Assisted Interventions, understanding the profound impact of human-animal bonding in therapeutic contexts. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the daily responsibilities of an AAT professional through first-hand experience sharing and interacting with a trained therapeutic dog. Moreover, the seminar will shed light on the qualifications and further training needed to venture into this unique career path. Importantly, it aims to raise awareness of AAT as a supportive service for students, particularly those with SEN, emphasising that they too can aspire to become Animal-Assisted Therapists.
