Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP)

Organised by Cyberport since 2015, this fintech-focused entrepreneurship programme aims at nurturing and supporting young talents by providing training, mentoring, and seed funding.
 

Interested students must submit their applications to LEI by 20th February through the link here, and include a fintech entrepreneurial project proposal focused on web 3.0 application. 

 

Highlights of the programme include:

  • Training workshops in Hong Kong (June and July 2024)
  • Overseas entrepreneurship boot camp (August 2024)
  • Demo and pitching competition
  • Chance to win HKD100,000 seed funding

 

Eligibility
Each team may be made up of up to five members, wherein:

  • Team leader must hold a Hong Kong Identity Card;
  • Between 18 and 30 years old (inclusive, on 11th March 2024);
  • Current full-time student (undergraduate or postgraduate), or a recent graduate (within three years of graduation, ie between 12 March 2021 and 11th March 2024); and
  • The team may be made up of students from different universities in Hong Kong, but the team leader must be from Lingnan University.  

 

Overseas Entrepreneurship Boot Camp

  • 8-day programme, with this year's host being Draper University in USA.
  • Workshops and visits for exposure and insights.
  • Maximum 3 members, with priority given to core members with technical/UI-UX/fintech background.

 

Fees and Deposit

  • Individuals are required to pay a non-refundable admission fee of HKD1,000.
  • The following refundable deposit will also be collected, and returned to participants upon full attendance and performance in the programme:
    • HKD6,000 deposit for individuals joining the Entrepreneurship Boot Camp; or
    • HKD3,000 deposit for individuals not joining the Entrepreneurship Boot Camp. 

 

Application

  • Admission is through nomination by Lingnan University, coordinated by LEI.
  • Application deadline to LEI is on 20th February 2024.
  • Application is by submission of a form (link here) and a fintech entrepreneurial project proposal focused on Web 3.0 application .
