Chinese New Year Carnival
Chinese New Year is one of the most important festivals in Chinese communities. The Chinese New Year Carnival co-organised by the Office of Student Affairs and Office of Global Education, held in February every year, attracts more than 500 students and staff to celebrate the Chinese New Year together. Students especially non-local students can experience the Chinese culture by watching performances and making traditional Chinese Handicrafts.
This year’s programme features some stunning performances from our local and non-local students, as well as student-run cultural booths showcasing not only the customs of Chinese New Year but also celebration activities from all around the world.

Lingnan University Cultural Ambassador Programme
The Lingnan University Cultural Ambassador Programme launched in November 2021, aims to nurture a group of students who are enthusiastic about exploring and sharing different cultures to become cultural ambassadors. The programme is designed to promote cross-cultural appreciation and integration on campus and in student hostels. Through participation in various cultural activities, the cultural ambassadors will gain knowledge and experience of new cultures, build friendships and networks with students from diverse backgrounds, and develop as leaders with cross-cultural competency.

International Day
The International Day co-organised by the Office of Student Affairs and Office of Global Education held in October annually aims to promote internationalisation and celebrate the beauty of cultural diversity of the Lingnan Campus. Both local and non-local students are invited to perform on stage and set up booths to showcase their traditions and cultures.
