Lingnan Journal of Chinese Studies listed as THCI journal by Research Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences

The Lingnan Journal of Chinese Studies (LJCS,《嶺南學報》), flagship publication of the Department of Chinese at Lingnan University, whose Editor-in-Chief is Prof Cai Zong-qi, Lee Wing Tat Chair Professor of Chinese Literature and Director of The Advanced Institute for Global Chinese Studies, was listed as a Taiwan Humanities Core Index (THCI) journal by the Research Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences in 2023 for the second time, having previously been named in 2020.

LJCS is published by Lingnan University’s Department of Chinese, in collaboration with The Advanced Institute for Global Chinese Studies. Since its relaunch in 2014, LJCS has worked towards becoming a world-class academic journal in Chinese studies. Its listing as a THCI journal with Tier 2 ranking demonstrates both the high quality of the journal and Lingnan's leadership in promoting extensive research in Chinese studies.

Prof Cai’s research and teaching interests are classical Chinese poetry and poetics, literary theory, comparative literature, aesthetics, and philosophy. He was named Distinguished Editor 2020 by the Council of Editors of Learned Journals for outstanding work in the Journal of Chinese Literature and Culture and PRISM: Theory and Modern Chinese Literature, as well as for LJCS.
