The Core Curriculum and General Education Office and Science Unit organised two sessions of Science Tour introducing the science education at Lingnan on the Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions 2017 on 21 October. It attracted around 80 participants including Lingnan students, primary and secondary students, as well as their parents and teachers.
The tour comprised two interactive hands-on workshops on molecular biology and weather studies. Participants has the opportunity to learn basic laboratory techniques to extract and investigate DNA of strawberries. They were also introduced to the causes and impacts of climate change while making their own chemical weather glass.
